Other Crafts

I wanted to come up with a creative veggie tray idea for my son's cello recital-
first I made a silhouette of a cello with my Cameo and put it on a foam board- then I covered the foam board with cling wrap-
the top is made with carrots and baby tomatoes- base is broccoli and cauliflower- and the end pin is black olives-
the center is carrot and celery- and for the strings- I cut rhubarb into fine strips-
it was a pretty big hit!

the two items above- are for the k9 's--  the top folder is the same dimensions everyone used for the mini Hershey bar- I just put in a dog treat-
the bag is from silhouette.  I also found some free labels online and added a little paw print washi-tape-  The cellophane is recycled from some other bag.

I so love this little house- I got the idea from Pinterest-  I found the house at Hobby Lobby- however, I've gone back a million times and can't find another-  they sell them online- but only as a set of 3 with the other two being much larger- :-(
it's basically just paper mache' over scrap book paper-  note however- USE the PM to adhere the paper from the start- it works much better than if you try gluing the paper down first-
then I just used an exacto knife to clean the edges up and added some embelishments.
It's still sitting in my office end of march cuz I can't bear to see it go to storage yet.
made from scrap book paper- be prepared to get more than a little hot glue on  your hands- OUCH-
the base is made from a 1.00 candlestick holder from the dollar store- gotta love a bargain.
